Fairplay
Fairplay
Fairplay is an anthology of essays, manifestos, poetry, and fiction by ten artists, organizers, and culture workers that gesture towards the boundary melting potential of play. Play isn’t restricted to any one fixed temporal or spatial location. Play happens in the in-between, liminal spaces where exploration outsmarts expectation and investigation outmaneuvers ignorance. Play is where we ask questions that come with no clear answer.
The contributions collected in this book foreground play’s ability to sweep away arbitrary demarcations between human and natural environments, authorship and ownership, interior truths and external expectations. Challenging these divides revealed new ways of finding assurance in the in-between and welcoming life’s ambiguities, while celebrating creative work’s capacity to investigate our present and inspire a fair future.
