Amplify Arts believes that when arts and culture thrive in a city, the city thrives too. We know that creative enterprises substantially contribute to economic growth and it isn’t a coincidence that strong cities position arts and culture as a fully integrated part of public life rather than luxuries few can access. Amplify Arts works to strengthen the cultural sector in Omaha by collaborating with other arts organizations, developing expansive networks of artists and arts professionals, paying artists a fair wage for their work, and advocating for a more integrated arts and culture sector at the municipal level.
Omaha offers great opportunities, for both the community and creatives, to see, show, and support art and artists. Check out the lists of galleries and exhibition spaces; theater, dance, and music venues; and arts local organizations.
Every year Amplify Arts conducts an Artist Survey, with an aim to better understand the needs of the artists we serve. We conduct this survey annually and have captured over 200 responses to date. Check out the results at the link below.
Amplify Arts is the only organization in Nebraska to hold a W.A.G.E. Certification. W.A.G.E. is a national initiative, founded by artists, that sets pay standards for Working Artists in the Greater Economy.
